Clay Chatham is a north Georgia native and has been an outdoor enthusiast his whole life. His family has been involved in real estate and farming for generations so his interest in the land business comes naturally.

Clay graduated from Georgia Southern University in 1997 with a B.S. in Outdoor Recreation with an emphasis in Natural and Cultural Resource Management. Immediately after college he went to work in the construction industry and worked for Centex Homes as a Field Manager. He found that building houses didn't leave much time for his favorite past time, flying, and decided to pursue aviation as his career.

His love of the outdoors and flying led him to the Georgia Forestry Commission where he received his Wild Land Firefighter Certification and started flying as a Patrol Pilot. His duties as a GFC Pilot Range from wildfire detection and suppression to pine beetle and water quality surveys.

Clay and wife Amber and daughter Riley attend Compass Church in Athens, Georgia. Past times include: hunting, fishing, horseback riding, hiking, and reading.
